Antique stained glass is generally very difficult to find and purchase in perfect condition.
Stained glass is usually embedded in the walls of a church, but if a buyer is found or demolition is required, it has to be removed, and it is not uncommon for it to be damaged in the process.
Furthermore, stained glass reeds that are exposed to the elements for a long period of time can rust or peel off, and the glass itself can fade or become stained.
--Damage and deterioration are inevitable with antiques, but we will repair and restore any damaged stained glass discovered during the on-site purchase inspection, and provide it in a condition suitable for the new location the customer desires.

Reinforcement and repair of antique wooden church benches

We came to reinforce and maintain an antique bench used at a wedding venue to "make it safer to use." The reinforcement was designed to prevent the center of the five-seater bench from bending under the weight of people sitting on it. We supported the project from planning to purchasing and delivery, so we will make the adjustments as part of our after-sales maintenance.
--BEFORE Because the seat is sandwiched from both sides, we will create and attach new legs to support the distortion in the center. We will also pay attention to the appearance and aim for a finish that does not spoil the antique atmosphere.
As the seat and leg surfaces of each of the 24 chairs are slightly different, they are adjusted and manufactured to fit perfectly.
The paint is also made with shellac varnish, the same as antique furniture, to give it a unique texture and an aging process that matches the existing bench, so that there is no sense of incongruity in the overall appearance.

Since the furniture and furnishings installed in commercial facilities must be installed during a short period when no wedding ceremonies are taking place, thorough preparations must be made in advance.
This time, the legs for 24 benches will be manufactured in advance and on-site construction will be completed in one day.
To create the right amount of distressed look to match the antique pew, we apply shellac, scrape it off, stain it, hit it with a chain, and scrape it again...and repeat the process.
--AFTER Place the legs in the center of the bench and secure them in place. We measured the dimensions perfectly, but there was always a slight gap between the bench and the floor, so we made the final adjustments with the adjusters and it was complete.

I went to the Netherlands to purchase rare items requested by a certain wedding venue and to hold future meetings. The location is a tranquil farming village in the marshlands, a few hours by train from Amsterdam. I usually purchase items accompanied by designers, coordinators, and owners, but this time I was acting alone as their agent.
--A local antique dealer came to pick me up at the station, and the buying process began almost before I could relax after arriving. I had come here based on detailed photos and phone conversations, but this was my first time seeing the real thing. I headed to the warehouse with a mixture of excitement and anxiety.
You can find the rare items you are looking for in this peaceful and quiet village. It's a place you would never come to on a regular tourist trip.
The antique markets in Europe are broader than you might imagine, with many expensive and sought-after items gathering in major cities, while in the countryside away from urban centers you often find buried items that are unsuitable for transportation or rare items that have just come out of local churches.
The dealer in this case is a small local antique shop that does not have any dealings with Japanese dealers, but it has a wide selection of church items and carefully selects high-quality products for wealthy customers from the United States, China, the Middle East, and other countries.
The large warehouse is packed with items that could be used for weddings. They are all high quality, so you'll likely end up making an impulse purchase.
Suppressing those feelings, it was finally time to check out the items I was looking for.
As the facility has not yet opened, we are unable to reveal any details.
As previously reported, we have purchased the complete item. We will now adjust the size on-site to fit the facility.
I will also purchase several other rare items and have them shipped to Japan in one container.
The goods will be transported by sea, so it will take about two months, but we make these purchases at an early stage to match the properties under construction.
I usually take my clients with me when I go shopping, but sometimes it's nice to go shopping alone. I'm looking forward to seeing where I'll go next time.
